ASHIATSU (BAREFOOT MASSAGE)
From the moment the session begins, you’ll feel a broad, deep pressure that melts into your muscles. The slow, flowing movements create a sensation of deep compression and elongation, almost like a rhythmic stretch combined with deep tissue massage. Because the pressure is evenly distributed, it feels intense yet comfortable—many describe it as a “good steamrolling” effect that releases tension without discomfort.
You’ll primarily be lying face down as the therapist works along your back, hips, and legs, though some techniques may also be applied to the front of the body. The session remains deeply relaxing, even with its intensity, often leaving you in a meditative state. If needed, Ashiatsu can be adjusted to your comfort level, and certain health conditions may be contraindicated. You can learn more about Ashiatsu here at DeepFeet Bar Therapy where I completed my training.
SWEDISH
Swedish massage is designed to soothe the nervous system and promote deep relaxation. Using long, flowing strokes, gentle kneading, and rhythmic motions, it works with the superficial muscles to ease tension and improve circulation. Pressure can range from light to firm based on your preference.
Sessions are typically full-body but can be customized to focus on specific areas, such as the upper or lower body, front or back, or extra time on the feet. During intake, we’ll discuss your preferences to create a session flow that suits your needs. Swedish massage is perfect for unwinding stress, promoting circulation, and leaving you in a deeply relaxed state.

DEEP TISSUE
Deep tissue sessions focus on one to two primary areas of tension, addressing underlying causes such as lifestyle factors, repetitive stress, or past injuries. Pressure is applied gradually, working from superficial to deep layers, allowing the body to release tension at its own pace while soothing the nervous system.
These sessions are more interactive, incorporating feedback on pressure, range of motion, and techniques like myofascial release, grasp and blade work, and active or passive movements. While deep tissue massage is therapeutic, it doesn’t have to be painful—when done with conscious touch, it can be both effective and relaxing.
SALT STONE
Hot salt stone massage follows a similar flow to Swedish relaxation massage, combining soothing touch with the comforting warmth of heated Himalayan salt stones. Long, gliding strokes with the stones help melt away tension while promoting deep relaxation. The warmth penetrates muscles, easing tightness without the intensity of deep tissue work.
This session is fully customizable, allowing extra attention to specific areas as needed. Unlike traditional basalt rock stones, salt stones provide a light exfoliating effect, leaving your skin feeling refreshed while delivering the benefits of mineral-rich heat therapy.
As with all heated modalities, there are certain contraindications, so we’ll discuss any concerns before your session.
