BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICIES

POLICY APPLIES TO ALL CLIENTELE/bookings; NEW/ESTABLISHED/GIFT CERTIFICATE PURCHASES. By booking you acknowledge the following policies.

BOOKING POLICY

You must be 18 or older to receive treatment.

New clients: An intake form will be sent (day of/day before session) via text to the phone number provided at booking. This form is mandatory—no exceptions will be made.

We are not responsible for connectivity or technological issues if you wait until the last minute to complete the form. To avoid delays or possible denial of service, please fill out the form well in advance of your appointment.

By appointment only: The front door remains locked during sessions. If you arrive more than 10 minutes early, the door may still be locked.

To optimize my schedule, I may occasionally request minor adjustments to appointment times. I appreciate your flexibility when possible.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations, including those due to illness, are subject to the standard cancellation fee. This ensures that appointment times are respected and business operations remain sustainable. Thank you for your understanding.

A 48-hour cancellation notice is required. Please contact the business phone number as soon as possible to cancel—leave a voicemail or send a text, regardless of the day or time.

Cancellations or reschedules made at least 48 hours before your appointment will receive a full refund.

Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of your appointment will be charged 100% of the service fee.

No-call, no-shows will be charged 100% of the service fee.

I understand that life happens—it happens to everyone, every day. However, last-minute schedule changes are not a unique situation, and filling an appointment within 48 hours is challenging and unlikely. This is a book-in-advance business, and no one is waiting at the door to take your spot.

I appreciate your understanding that my time and livelihood are just as valuable as yours. This is not personal—this is business.

Punctuality

If you arrive late, your session will be adjusted to fit within the remaining scheduled time. You are still responsible for the full cost of the original session.

If you choose to shorten your session, you are still responsible for the full cost of the original session.

If time allows, you may extend your session for the standard rate of additional time. Delays happen—whether it’s construction, school buses, or snowplows. Plan accordingly and leave earlier than intended.

weather POLICY

Safety is a priority—I’m not asking anyone to endanger themselves. However, this is Maine, and snowfall is a yearly reality. Please take the necessary precautions to ensure you arrive on time for your appointments.

  •

If you are regularly influenced by weather forecasts and prefer to avoid travel at the mention of snow, you may not be the right fit for this practice. I do not close shop for every storm warning.

If you are uncomfortable driving in certain conditions, consider booking during fair-weather months instead.

On rare occasions, I may reach out to reschedule due to severe weather, but I keep this to a minimum.

Stay alert, stay off your phone, and allow extra time for travel.

EXCESSIVE RE-SCHEDULES

My schedule is carefully managed to provide consistent, high-quality care to all clients. As such, I allow a maximum of 3 reschedules per calendar year per client. Excessive rescheduling—regardless of notice given—disrupts the flow of business and prevents others from accessing care.

After 3 reschedules, further appointments may require prepayment and may be non-refundable if missed or rescheduled again. I reserve the right to pause or discontinue bookings for clients whose scheduling habits are inconsistent.

Misconduct

Any illicit or sexually suggestive, flirtatious remarks, advances, hints, or jokes made by a client at ANY juncture (IN OFFICE/TEXT) During the course of working together will result in immediate termination of the session and/or client/therapist professional relationship, and the client will be liable for payment for the full scheduled appointment and never to return.
